Fred Beckey and I after he and Eric went skiing at Snowbasin. He stayed over and showed us old movies of himself and a group of mountaineers doing a new route first ascent on Mt. McKinley in 1954!! He just celebrated his 86th Birthday in January!

It was so nice by the fire we had a hard time getting back out to ski. Eric friend Rick came in from Spokane to do some skiing so we headed to Snowbasin where we ran into Kay and Kevin. It was a great day. 
Kay and Rick just wanted to let everyone know in case they were wondering how they really feel about retirement. I think the picture speaks for itself.

January is coming to a close it's been a great weather minus the inversion in the SL valley. Mom celebrated her 68th Birthday!! We threw her a little suprise party which turned out fabulous it was great to see some of my extended family it had been way too long. (pictures will be posted when I get them from my sister) I took my niece Samantha snowboarding for the first time....she was a trooper. Unfortunately I forgot my camera so I don't have any blackmail photo to post on the blog.
