First big snow 12/08

We finally had our first big snow storm of the year, which is supposed to last for the next few days. I went out on the front walk last evening as the sun was setting and took a few pictures.

Thanksgiving 2008

Sorry it's been a while since I've posted anything. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. The weekend before Thanksgiving we decided to get the house all decorated for Christmas. It's always such an ordeal but once it all done it is fun.

We spent the day at my Mom's (momma faye) with my sister Vicki her daughter Christina, my brother Lonnie, and sister Rochelle. This was the first Thanksgiving at Mom's new house. Mindi and her family could not make it since there household was over run by strep throat and Mindi was in the hospital with epiglottitis. She is now out and is on the mend.

The day after Thanksgiving we threw a little Retirement party for Eric's good friend Kay. Kay retired after 31 years with the Weber county fire department and he rounded up some of his old ski patrol friends from Powder Mountain ski resort. It was such a lovely evening a was able to meet many of Eric's old friends whom I had only heard stories about. Thanks to Dan from Snowbasin and everyone pitching in they were able to get Kay a great pair of skis for his retirement/years of good friendship present.
